<lj:music>Not BDO music :-( :-( :-(</lj:music>

Boo.

Well today was sucky. Today is Big Day Out (BDO) day, THE music event in Perth. Admittedly, that isn't hard, seeing as nothing comes to Perth, but BDO is still pretty cool. But guess who isn't going? :(. I was going to go, then I procrastinated, and the tickets sold out. Just the other day they released another 2500 tickets but I had spent the money I was going to use to go ($115), and so I couldn't get one. Plus, I was working 12-5. So I went off to work wishing I was going off to BDO, and the place was PACKED. I mean, how many people seriously want to go shopping at Target on a Sunday??? All nuts. Now I'm home from work, and tired and cranky, and I still want to go. My friend Meredith tried to convince me to jump the fence with her this morning, but I couldn't because of work, but now I really want to, and I bet she can't. Dammit, eh.

Well, thats the end of my whinge for now, I'll probably be back with more rambling whinges tomorrow.

Tom

Well, It's been a while since I've had any sort of journal, following my Xanga and blogspot accounts that ended in disaster... I think the trick probably is to not say anything on the internet that you may later wish to take back... Anyway, I'll get on with my post.
We (Toni, Andrea and I) threw Caroline a surprise party yesterday, it was a pretty good effort if I do say so myself. Somehow she managed to not figure out what was going on. I think that is quite impressive considering we picked her up the day before her birthday, blindfolded her and put her into a car... I'd like to think I would have figured it out by then, but I'm really glad she didn't. I pushed her into the pool, as you do, but then I was worried that she wouldn't resurface (Don't drink and drown this summer!), so I jumped in after her, totally forgetting I was wearing a t-shirt... Chris was more practical (for once) and had removed his before he jumped in...
I have work today, but I really cant be bothered going. Although, rather than being on checkouts today, I'm spending three hours taking down posters (the sale ends today)... But seeing as I'm tired, I plan on spending as long as I possibly can in bed (on my laptop)...
Speaking of laptop, I have a new laptop! This is pretty exciting, I've never had a laptop before. Technically its for uni, but I'm loving the freedom of being able to move around. Also, having a computer that's new makes a nice change from the hunkajunk this one replaces, even if this is a budget model. All it needs now is The Sims 2, which I can't seem to find my copy of. In my opinion its probably the best simulation game ever, its so much fun. I really hope my laptop can handle it and other games, especially since Dell seem to have conned me. See, they specifically told me that although it came with onboard graphics, a mobile graphics card can be added at a later date. I've looked all through the service manual, and there is no mention of that ability ANYWHERE. Grrr. The on board graphics had better be uncharacteristically good for on board, or I'll be ringing up dell and getting angry...
Anyway, that's all from me for now, I'll post again soon.
Tom
